More about Zu Zen:
Zu Zen aka Didgerizu, violinist, didgeridoo player, sound healer, explorer of harmonic and throat singing.
She has been playing the violin since she was a child and started to explore the didgeridoo in her adult years. In 2005, she renewed her passion for music after meeting the didgeridoo tribe by going to Indidjinus and Jamming Tree didgeridoo festivals in Oregon and California. For many consecutive years, she took workshops and did sound healings for huge groups of 50 or more people.
Since then, she has been travelling the world performing on stages with her partner Eric Mandala in the Americas: such across Canada, in the United States, Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama, Brazil, Hawaii, Spain and the Canary Islands. She has played solo as well as collaborated with many artists playing for sound healing, yoga events, kirtan, dances of universal peace, rainbow gatherings and electronic music festivals. She has also played music for contra dances, English country dances and Celtic dances.
In sharing the love of breath and toning, she has given many didgerdoo and throat singing workshops whenever the opportunity presented itself. Her love of exploring sound brought her to many hours of didgeridoo playing inside huge hollowed out redwood trees, caves, caverns and toning under water as well as inside buckets to enter into deep trance states.
