Cacao is a fruit that grows on the Theobroma cacao tree, its seeds also known as cacao are widely used around the world to make chocolate, and cacao powder (known as cocoa).

The cacao’s origins can be traced back to ancient Mesoamerica, where it was a precious commodity and frequently traded crop. It’s widely believed that cacao originated in Mexico, where it was revered as “food of the gods” and only emperors or aristocrats of prehispanic civilizations could consume it.

Cacao rituals originated in Lake Atitlan in the 2000s and have widely spread throughout the world. Every cacao ritual or ceremony is different, and while some rituals may share components of traditional indigenous ceremonies, there is no lineage or ethnic group that traditionally performs cacao ceremonies.

Our Cacao Sensorial is a blindfolded journey through the senses, smell, touch, hearing and taste. Sight being the primary sense will be blocked to help us silence the mind, go deeper into our hearts, and reconnect with the wisdom of our bodies. To immerse ourselves in a timeless embrace, and surrender to the spirit of cacao that will guide us to embrace the compass of our heart.

The medicine of cacao transcends the tangible, stimulating the senses and weaving ethereal threads that delicately stroke our hearts and caress our souls. Surrendering to its tangible and intangible qualities will lead us on a journey towards a deeper, richer and more intimate connection with ourselves and others.

This is no ordinary act; it's a sacred dance with the spirit of cacao whispering, inviting us to synchronize with the rhythms of our hearts, to plunge into the depths of our spirituality, and to unfurl within the tender embrace of profound emotional introspection.

We cannot recommend drinking ceremonial cacao in the next cases:

- Serious heart conditions

- Taking antidepressants

- You may feel lightheaded, with sweaty palms

- It may cause headaches or nausea

- It may cause acid reflux or activate ulcers
